SUPERVISOR REEL (2024) a selection of my latest work as the Texture & Look Development Supervisor @ Encore VFX
As the Asset Texture and Look Development Supervisor at Encore VFX, I was in charge of overseeing all character work for our film, commercial and episodic projects, as well as being on the box myself developing the look of various creatures and digital doubles. In this reel, I highlight a few of my favorite episodic projects featuring monsters!

DEAD BOY DETECTIVES new series (2024) Netflix

For this Netflix Supernatural Series set in the Sandman Universe, Encore VFX was the sole vendor providing the Visual Effects, including all the strange creatures, monsters and animal and human digi doubles you will see in season 1. As the Asset Texture and Look Development Supervisor I was in charge of overseeing all character work for this show, as well as creating textures and shaders for various creatures and props. Below you can see some of the monsters designed and created by my team at Encore. Look out for the new series on Netflix to see the rest of our creations!

DOOM PATROL season 4 (2023) HBO
Texture, Look Development Supervisor, Surfacing Artist: Characters - Zombie Butt Monsters (Were-Butts)

In the Zombie Butt Monster look development process, I created skin shading networks in Houdini Renderman used across all Zombies with layers of veins, torn and cracked skin, discoloration, dirt, scars and fresh blood as well as supervised the character team's creation of diffuse and ID maps. For mouths and teeth, I created procedural texture and shading networks in Substance Painter and Renderman to vary them between one another. We were able to retain identical UV layouts for all of these characters simplifying this process.

Texture, Shading Artist (Texture, Look Development Supervisor): Character - Texture/Shader build for Rita's anamorphous blob form

For seasons 3 and 4 of Doom Patrol, I built a translucent veiny oily skin shader in Houdini Renderman that was used in all of Rita's human to blob form transformations.
